I'm Nuhu Ibrahim
Nuhu Ibrahim is a PhD researcher in Artificial Intelligence
at The University of Manchester, specialising in Natural Language processing and Text-Mining. His academic work explores the
intersection of language understanding, knowledge representation, and domain-specific information extraction, with applications in areas such as
food,health, and social media.
Prior to returning to academia, Nuhu accumulated nearly a decade of industry experience as a Lead Software Engineer, contributing to large-scale
systems in the fintech and telecommunications sectors. He worked with globally recognised firms such as BT Group and Fiserv Inc. as well as government institutions
including the Kaduna State Government, where he led the design and deployment of intelligent, high-performance software infrastructures.
Now back in research, Nuhu brings a practitioner's mindset to fundamental AI challenges, particularly in building models that reason over complex textual data.
His work is shaped by both the rigour of academic inquiry and the pragmatism of industry deployment. He is passionate about developing AI systems that are not only theoretically
sound but also usable, impactful, and socially relevant.
